Mina

Mina Koo is a singer/songwriter whose music is primarily dance/pop with a little rock and funky hip-hop infused in her sound. Currently residing in Los Angeles, Mina’s style of music is in the vein of Lady Gaga and Shakira, rooted in Michael Jackson’s essence. She was born to be a performer with a reputed stage persona of a “sexy gangsta.” With multiple styles and arrangements, Mina’s diversity allows her to mold her performances to fit the venue and her audience. She has performed live with her band in and around Hollywood, showcasing eight songs off her brand new dance pop album. She is currently looking for producers and writers to work on and remix her new album planned for a release this spring.

Raised by her musician aunt, she wrote songs and sang as a small child. By winning prizes in children’s singing contests, three of her songs were broadcasted on Korean TV station KBS. Naturally, she picked up the guitar playing and performing with international musicians while traveling in many other countries for youth projects. Mina’s passion and destiny led her to Musician’s Institute in Hollywood where she found her home; the perfect place to grow as a pop artist.

With the release of her EP, she plans to continue performing, writing new songs, and eventually go on tour. Mina would like to be recognized as a dancer, yogi, and model, representing multi-cultural urban post-modernists. She has a passion to develop her songs to be KIIS FM type of radio hits, and to make her performance positive and entertaining.
